Please notice this was hand crafted in China: it was made of 100% cotton fabrics and batting. The label says it is for a bed size twin; actual measurements are 83" by 67" across, and the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
It is a rather heavy quilt, for its size: it weighs 4 lbs un-boxed (that weight is due to all the cotton fabric and batting).
The piecing and quilting were both done by machine. The piecing was a bit rustic, as this is a hand made item: please notice some of the ..."rectangular" swatches are actually slightly off-shape, as the red swatch and its right side neighbor, on pic # 8.
The Barn Raising variation of the Log Cabin family of patterns is probably the most striking of them: this quilt was made with highly contrasting fabrics, achieving the effect you see on pic # 1 (red and black and other "dark" colors in play with beige and white colors on each block).
As backing, the designer chose a nice black and white paisley patterned cotton.
