I believe this the early version or 2AX because it has the cast frame 6 hole ALNICO wooferall drivers are in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working conditionthe cabinets look amazing with only one little ding on the edge of one speaker, and a minor faded portion on the top of one, bottoms sides look good as well ....see photos for details.
grill covers and emblems look perfectthe adjustments for the tweeter an...d midrange are scratchy and noisy sounding but after they are set to a point the signal passes properly to the mid and tweeter as it should...this is an inherent issue with vintage AR speakers.these speakers are so surprising with the deep bass response and clarity......for such old speakers it is a truly remarkable sound.
