-The RCA Command series 5654 is a special select tube manufactured for use in "Professional Radio/TV Broadcasting and for the Recording Industry and Studio use". RCA started to produce these "Command Series" tubes in the 1960's....>
- Made in the USA, all 4 tubes same construction ( see pics )
- Black Plates, Top Halo wire getter frames and Top getter flashes
- Orange Lettering RCA inside Globe, "Made in USA" Date codes "6613" 13th Week 1966 (see pics)
- Glass is etched "5654" and 2 of these tubes etched "38G" and the other 2 tubes etched "36C"
You will receive the 4 tubes shown in the pictures that are the 4 tubes from right to left. The 1st tube on the left is in a 2nd ebay buy it now sale as this tube had no etched code on it..
Testing:For reference we use a Military TV-7 A/U upgraded to TV-7 D/U with Plate Current (mA) testing jacks as our tube test set. Calibrated 8/16/2019 good for 10, 000 hours of service until next calibration by CG Industries of Florida.
For Gm of 2750 is the 60% tube life reject pointTesting on a TV-7/U min=22 meter reading(2, 750 Gm reject point).
Average Industry NOS Bogey = meter reading 34(=4, 225)
Average Industry NOS Bogey Plate Current = 10.0mA/10.0mA
4 tubes tested No shorts. 4 Tubes tested NOS for Gm, The plate current mA (matches <= 1, 5%).
