This is a rare opportunity to own an AIM-65 6502 Floppy Disk Sub System that interfaces to a C1541 or a C1541 SD card emulator that is NOT included.  It might be shown in the pictures for reference ONLY!

I was a Rockwell Representative and sold Dynatem products into the mid 1980s.  The AH5050 was offered originally by Applied Business Computer Co.  Alex Blanco was the designer and owner from my recollection and he offered these through Dynatem once they ...acquired the rights for the AIM from Rockwell.

The SD card interface is NOT included nor is the SD Card.  One picture shows it hooked up to a 2GB SD card through a C1541 emulator, TFWBb SD21IEC CLASSIC, sold here on ebay, with the AIM-65 Printout. I will continue testing this setup saving and loading files and report the results as I get more time.
I have been working on this design for quite some time now.  I made an initial 12 boards of which I have assembled and tested 12 units.  These were panelized into 4 devices per board and I manually cut them so that might be a bit crude but in no way affects the operation and size.  I have over $1000 invested into this project and so far, I've been offered $20 and $40.  This is not enough to even break even for my time and $ investment. 

NO R6522 is included in this listing.  I can even deduct the cost of the 2532 EPROM if you have a way to load the software that is provided on the CD

As a seller of AIMs back in the 1970-80s, I realized that the AIM lacked a low cost reliable storage device other than audio tapes.  This may be late to market but offers a PC based method of file storage and transfer via the Internet.  I formatted the SD card via the manufacturer's instructions and hooked up the VEB C1541 and they talk to each other.  I previously did the same hookup to a C1541 and was able to write and load files so I fully expect this to do the same but I can't say so until I do further testing.  I have uploaded 2 pics that show the SD Card directory after getting 2 files from the AIM - the BASIC ROM set and the AH5050-4 ROM. 
 
I loaded the contents of 1000-1020F with some values and then printed it out and saved it to a file on the SD card using the PUT command.  I then changed the contents of that area and printed that out.  I then used the Get command and it loaded into that area and original contents were restored.  This was my original testing procedure - write something into the RAM area, PUT it to the SD Card, change the contents of the original area, and then GET the file and see if it matches the original address contents.  See pictures.

These plug into the Z1 Application 6522 socket near the rear of the AIM and a working 6522 is plugged in the top of the VEB C1541 board. 

The 6522 is NOT included. This way I can lower the cost

The connector end plugs into a working Commodore C1541 and the EPROM plugs into the D000 Assembler socket on the AIM.  (I have Assembler AH5055 EPROMs where the Assembler has been relocated to the B000 socket and they can be purchased for and additional $20.)  I did not develop the software so I can not guarantee that it works perfectly but I have been able to FORMAT disks, PUT and GET fiies and print out the directory.

The RS-232 interface and the parallel printer interface are NOT hardware implemented on this VEB board so they are NOT included.

 NOTE:   The sub-system is sold AS IS and NO RETURNS will be accepted however I was a Rockwell distributor and system integrator and did board level repairs for my customers so I want you to be happy and have a working system and I will do my part to make that happen.  Besides I expect input from their operation.  Maybe some of you will be able to present enhancements or point out bugs with work arounds.

I was able to keep the C1541 as Device 1 and the C1541 SD card emulator can be configured as Device 2 on the serial bus so now it is working.

Plus I am currently repairing AIM items including the keyboards and printers and have a wide selection of repair parts at my disposal should any problems arise.
IF ANYONE HAS EXTRA KEYBOARDS I AM INTERESTED IN PURCHASING OR TRADING as I am running out of keyboards.  So if you have one or more we can discuss trade-ins or discounts.  I can also swap labor to get your AIM or keyboard working.  I have a replacement keyboard in the prototyping stage with switches and a keycap layout that I've sourced to fit these new switches that are not like the original stems but very similar to the Cherry MX switch stem.  I can sell those if you want to make your own keyboard.
 
I have other language EPROMs that I am selling in other listings for $25 per EPROM so a set of 2 is $50, a set of 3 is $75.  I am currently running a promotion for the purchase of multiples of 2 or larger EPROMs.

The EPROMs used for the languages - 2532s - might have markings and tarnish on the pins since they are reprogrammed.
