Vintage MICRO SWITCH Burroughs Honeywell SD KEYBOARD Computer 4A8E
Item History & Price
This is a rare, BRAND NEW - NEW OLD STOCK vintage mechanical keyboard by Micro Switch.
The part number on the reverse is 69SD29-21
The blue key switches are 4A8E and the grey key switches are 4A3E.
The number pad is integrated and there are some rare keys not seen on other Micro Switch keyboards.
I think it is known as a hall effect mechanical keyboard. Very similar keyboards are seen on the Burroughs TD830 and TP110, but this has a few different keys. There are 5 Blue "fun...ction" keys and 6 LEDs.
The Intel chip is a D8048 in a ceramic package and mounted in a socket. The other semis appear to be TTL 74LS.. ICs - some of these are also ceramic versions. All of the ICs that can be seen have a 1980 / 1978 date code, so the keyboard is likely to be from 1980 or shortly after.
This came from MOD military surplus quite a few years ago, but is still new and in the original packaging - although the packaging has been opened. The keyboard is pristine and has obviously never been installed or used.
The maximum width of the grey keys is approx 285mm and from the lower edge of the space bar to the top of the blue keys it is approx 120mm.
The complete unit is approx 32cm x 17cm.
This item is completely original and as new.
Worldwide shipping, with tracking number.
