HC Marsh (Stanley) miter box clamp and saw (from before Stanley bought them out?). H. C. MARSH, ROCKFORD, ILL on the clamps. PAT AUG.6.89, JAN.28.90 on the base. RICHARDSON, NEWARK, NJ, EXTRA SPRING STEEL WARRANTED on the saw blade. RICHARDSON, NEWARK, NJ, BEST on the handle. A little freckling on the saw blade, nothing serious. One of the handle screws is missing. Very nice handle, with just a tiny chip on one of the horns.Threads a...re clean and knobs spin freely on the clamps. One of the collars on the end of the thread has been replaced with a square nut, which fits and works fine. One of the posts was broken at the bottom of its slot (see the last picture) and JB Welded. The saw would work even if the broken piece were missing, but the post is complete and could be brazed or welded if need be. The repair does not show when the post is installed in the clamp. The clamp looks to have been used very little. Over a century of honest grime, but still in good condition and ready to go to work.
