Wonderful old leather tool from C.S. Osborne & Company. It is a number 4 Leather Creasing Marking Tool and is engraved as such on the top and C.S. Osborne & Co. on one side as well as Est, 1826 on the opposite side. Great patina.
This is one of several tools that I recently picked up from an estate sale. I do not know if the man was a cobbler or some other leather type profession. I am auctioning each of the pieces off by the piece. You may combine purchases for a bett...er shipping rate. Also is the toolbox that he made from an old ammo box and several old cheese boxes. Really nice piece of old folk art. That will be with this collection as well.
