Lovely Rare Vintage Solid 9ct Gold Scroll Patterned Sliding Propelling Pencil - Hallmarked 9ct by Maker H.W LD (Henry Williamsson Ltd)
For auction is this lovely early and rather rare sliding propelling pencil that is fully hallmarked as 9ct on the barrel with maker H.W.LD which I believe is Henry Williamson Ltd.
The pencil is in good working condition. The sliding mechanism pushes out thepencil smoothly and the lead expels by turning the tip.
The pencil is ...hallmarked 9ct and also tested as 9ct sold gold. It is made by famous maker Henry Williamson Ltd (Hallmarked H.W.Ld) in the UK.
The weight overall is 9.6 grams but this wouldn't all be 100% gold as I am sure there are some base metal components on the internal mechanisms.
It has a nice scroll type patterning on the barrel which is in good overall condition with no dents or dings but does have a few marks etc from usage and a really nice patina.
