Up for auction is a Vintage Holts “Lytoil All-Purpose Lubricant” Advertising Tin Oil Can! This is a 5 oz. metal oil can (tin) with classic advertising graphics in bright orange, yellow, black, and white lithography. This oil was made by the Holt Products Limited in New Addington, Surrey, England back in the 1950s or early 1960s! The tin can measures about 3⅞” tall x 2⅛” wide x 1¼” deep (overall 5¾” tall to top of spout). As shown in the photos, this vintage container is in very... good condition for its age with nice bright colors and sharp details. It has a little surface wear and soiling, including a few light scuffs or scratches, small marks, and a light dent or ding that you would expect for such an old used tin container. The bottom and top are generally clean with some normal surface soiling, and the oil can is missing its cap as shown. The can is empty but there may be a little residual oil inside.
