Original Description:
This early piece of Americana was found near Utica NY. It is very early and is nicely proportioned at 11" wide x 8 1/2" tall x 9" deep. And is hand painted "JUDICIARY " on the lid...the J has been rubbed off. The slot has been nibbled on and the chamfered base shows wear. Great dovetailed construction and strong red paint. I believe the photographs give an accurate read...
