A really lovely vintage linen panel which has carefully been removed from picture frame. I have just displayed it on my tea trolley for photos
The back of the frame had date 1953 so this could be when framed or year it was embroidered
Stunning hand embroidery worked in silk thread depicting a crinoline lady in her cottage garden with tulips and hyacinths and smaller spring flowers with the little thatched cottage in the background.There are sweet little blue birds to the left of ...the weeping willow? Tree.
The panel is in excellent condition as has been protected under glass
Where the panel was tucked under the board with tacks there are little rust spots shown in last 2 photos but this would not be seen if re framed or made into a cushion
Size approx 13"x17" plus approx 2" overhang where folded back
Will post overseas
