This auction features a beautuful and very compact 1940s all metal construction antique Skilsaw in great working condition. This is one of the earliest circular saws produced by Skilsaw. This is the Model 67 Worm Drive Super Duty from around the mid 1940s and is a 5 1/2 Circular Saw that is probably the smallest Worm drive saw produced in that era. See pics.This saw is art deco at its finest and a true survivor hitting 80 years of age soon. They certainly dont make them like this anymo...re. The old cord was replaced with a safer 3 prong insulated grounded cable by the original owner and the motor is still running strong even after all these years. The blade may need sharpening but the motor is in great shape. The metal finish shows petina but could be polished to a lustrous finish if someone takes his/her time with it. I love this saw, the heavy duty and rugged American craftsmanship build, the compact/portability factor and beautiful Art deco design make it a must in any power tool enthusiast's garage or collection.
