Offered for sale is this very unusual circa 1900 MISSIONARY OR PREACHER'S SCRAPBOOK in fair to good overall condition. IT IS FULL OF HAND WRITTEN, Typed, and printed Religious Ephemera and was a hand made book of sorts as the leather soft covers came from an old Bible making this a one-of-a-kind find! There are many references in it to the UNDENOMINATIONAL CHURCH which was to my surprise, an actual Church or religion. There are MANY BIBLICAL REFERENCES in this book and it was obviously... used as a reference book and teaching aid. There are a few references in it to a Rev. Mrs. S. M. Crank and a reference to an INTERCHURCH WORLD MOVEMENT, but I am not sure if this belonged to her or whether it was just information picked up along the way by a different Minister or Missionary. The pages are numbered by hand in pen and go up to 758. There are also many small newspaper cutouts in the book. There are programs to some church related events, an Interchurch Pledge Card, typed entries on a wide variety of subjects and Bible Verses, and it goes on and on!!! The book has wear on the edges as to be expected with many loose items in it. It does give an interesting insight into Christian Ministry and Missionary work at the time.
