THIS WAS A SPENCER'S STORE EXCLUSIVE BACK IN THE SUMMER OF 1989WHEN THE TIM BURTON 'BATMAN' MOVIE WAS RELEASED.
YOU COULD NOT PURCHASE THIS 100% COTTON SHELL JACKET WITH 100% POLYESTER LININGANYWHERE ELSE BUT SPENCER GIFTS.
MANY SATIN ONES WERE MADEAVAILABLE WORLDWIDEAT DIFFERENT STORES, OUTLETS, COMIC BOOKS, AND COLLECTOR SHOWS.BUT IF YOU WANTED THE ...1OO% COTTONSHELLED ONE, THEN YOU HAD TO PURCHASEIT FROM SPENCER'S GIFTS AT A MALL.
This is an Old Display piece from a 1989 Spencer's Mannequin found in storage & still on the Mannequin 17 years ago, when I purchased it. It does not look worn, as all the elastic sleeves, bottom, and collar are all tight and not stretched. Has no odors, no marks, no stains, no dirt, no dust, no wear, no tear EXCEPT for the last snap cover on the bottom of the jacket and the jacket's tag. Upon acquiring this piece 17 years ago, I sent it out to have it dry cleaned and upon it's return the snap came back missing some paint and the tag no longer looking brand new. I don't know if it was the washing process or not, but the 'care for' directions came back faded and tattered looking. Regardless, the jacket was placed in a plastic bag and stored away for the past 11 years until now. Jacket was removed from plastic bag to take photos and is now back in it's bag. Unfortunately, I removed the tags from the jacket when I acquired it & had it dry cleaned. For the life of me I cannot find the envelope that contained the tags.This is the history of this piece of vintage clothing as I know it and purchased it 17 years ago. Again, I purchased it and it was still on a store mannequin from Spencer's Gifts. I cannot say whether or not it was tried on in the store one time, ten thousand times, or never. All I can do is as I have done above and that is be as honest as I can be with everything about the jacket as I know it and pass that information along to you as well as all the photos that I have taken and supplied in this listing.

(sorry for any wrinkles or fold marks, but the jacket has been folded and storedinside a sealed storage bag from the moment it was purchased 17 years ago til I just opened the bag to take a few photos for this listing) Since I purchased it 17 years ago from a storage facility and for the sake of argument, I am going to say the item is used / like newand is size XL (extra large)
