No chips, cracks, flakes or repairs and clean as can be. Measures about 7 3/4" across the longest spans from outer handles to wall edges. This has been stored in the china cabinet in an affluent home possibly since new. There are some stray contact marks on the underside or elsewhere on the lid or body on this fancy lidded piece but you have to study it critically for evidence of handling. This is classic Cambridge quality in their timeless and coveted Rose Point etch design. Rose... Point was first produced around 1934 and officially introduced beginning around 1935. It was an immediately successful for the Cambridge Glass Company, and it was produced until the plant was closed around 1958. They were world famous for their products in the age of elegant glassware. Imperial glass later purchased some of the original Cambridge molds until they went under in around 1984. I am unsure if they adopted this particular mold and pattern. Simply a wonderful example and this is most likely contemporary to the Cambridge production time period. Questions in advance please.
