Item History & Price

Information:
Reference Number: Avaluer:30060619Duration: Single
Record Size: 10"Speed: 78 RPM
Genre: Early 1900s Records
Original Description:
I have up for auction a record (78) on the black and silver (embossed) Columbia Phonograph Co. label; very early 1900s, 1904 Grand Prize date so probably around 1905-06. It is No.1900 by Collins and Harlan, entertaining Vocal Duet with Orchestra. Selection is "Down Where the Sweet Potatoes Grow". The record is in very good condition for the most part,  not a lot of wear and scuffs and scratches are mainly light, none deep. Note: two imperfections; som...eone enlarged the spindle hole (to about 1/2" Diameter) but not well so it is somewhat difficult to center perfectly; also, extra surface noise at beginning; but otherwise plays well,  loud and clear.  Another rare collectible from 115 years ago!
