Voightlander Bessamatic Deluxe was introduced in 1962. This SLR camera has a central focal shutter, which is somewhat rare design in SLR film camera world. This camera can be considered quite heavy, weighing in at almost one kilogram with the lens attached, however the quality of manufacturing is stellar; it feels reliable and serious. It is hailed among photographers as a very durable camera. The light meter is selenium powered and does not require a battery for operating.

AppearanceThe camera body has some usage marks, few scratches and dings, but overall it's in decent condition for its age. lens itself is in excellent working condition, however, there is a damage on the barrel visible on the photos.Please refer to photos for more details.
Function
It is in complete working order;Winding works as it should and camera advances the film properlyShutter is dry and all speeds are precise. We tested it with a professional shutter measuring tool.
The light meter works and is accurate (please note that selenium powered light meters may not perform well in low light situations).
The seals shut tightly.
Lens aperture is dry and precise.Focus ring runs smooth.
There are few scratches on front glass element, however they do not affect picture quality.
Other than that lens has no traces of fungus, haze, or separations, there may be some usual light dust present, which is more than common on old lenses and does not affect the quality of the photos.
