You are bidding on a 1909 –1920 Antique Vintage RARE FordModel T T-1902 Tool Kit Screwdriver CLEAN, Original Brown / paint finish, Square shaft The screwdriver wasrecently obtained from a estate sale of model T items, exact age is unknown. Ibelieve this is a Ford Model T tool kit screwdriver for the 1909 through late1920 models. From various Resources: I believe thru Ford specs the T-1902 screwdriver was usedfrom 1909 thru late 1920 (10/11/20), when the tool... kit pliers were changed adding a flat screwdriver blade to onehandle end. I believe the specs were, Squarehex shank, which ran all the way through the wood handle and is exposed thruthe handle on top (square shaft). The square shank is 5/16” x 5/16”, and the flatblade tip is 5/16” (+ or - ??) wide, with a riveted ferrule. The screwdriver overall length was8 3/4” (+ or - ??), and resources state 8 1/2” to 9” long. The screwdrivermeasured from blade tip to beginning of the ferrule approx. 3” (+ or - ??). TheFord Factory number was T-1902.Ibelieve this screwdriver is one of the era versions and correct for the era, asnear the same as original Ford specs, with the same shape and handle design asphoto’s I’ve seen. This screwdriver hasthe hex square 5/16” x 5/16” shaft, running thru the handle and the shaft is exposethru the handle top, the flat blade is 3/8” wide. The wood handle has theoriginal brown stain. The screwdriver is 8” long, and measure 2 1/2” long fromthe blade tip to beginning of the ferrule. The handle is 4 1/4” long and is 1 3/16”in dim. The ferrule is riveted, and has no ID manufacturer markings. The screwdriveris in good condition for the era, and has been lightly cleanedand is in original found finish condition, and was oil rubbed for protection. The blade tip has about 1/4” broken off----the tip wasdressed up----note pic……The handle appears solid---has somecuts, dings and dents. As with thevintage of the screwdriver, there is normal wear and a few dents and dings, afew scratches, and some discoloration, all as noted from the photos.
