Vintage Brown & Sharpe Draughtsmen's Protractor with the original wooden case covered in Morocco leather, with a velvet lined interior, and a stamped Dec 2, 1890 patent date on the instrument blade. Brown & Sharpe was world renowned for the manufacturing of precision & measuring instruments. The precision machined tongue and groove permits easy rotation of the 8 1/8" blade. The graduations on the instrument read to degrees and the vernier insures accuracy ...to within 5 minutes of a degree. The original gold embossed Brown & Sharpe stamp on the case exterior is in very good condition. The exterior of the case is in very good condition with a age few cracks. The velvet lined interior is completely intact but somewhat faded due to age. Included also are the original user instructions. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
