Thank you for being here. I hope you are having a great day. Measures 2-3/8” x 3-9/16”. The tintype is in roughcondition, and the quality of the image is poor.The left edge has major loss to the surface (lots of metalshowing). There are basically three ugly lines of loss, one that goes acrossher face, another across her upper arm, and one across the lower portion of herarm. Her hand has a chunky spot of loss as well.There’s an odd globby streak that begins at the center girl’sl...ap and goes down towards the left corner. The bottom left corner has a large 3/4”area of superficial loss (black showing). There’s more of this sort of wear tothe bottom right corner. The left inside area of the odd streak has a weird3/4" dull spot, kind of an oval area of cloudy discoloration, prominentlyworn and dulled. The center area of the image, across their faces, has adistracting amount of spottiness that affects the appeal of this photo. A lotof things affect the appeal, including blurriness to their faces, and differentlevels of being washed out, faded or shadowed. The whole top left corner is ablurred mess. I can’t really make out the background. The lower area is badlyshadowed. I can’t tell if the ladies are inside or outside. In addition to thetintype being in rough condition, the quality is certainly rather poor as well.There’s a nasty amount of crackling throughout. Badly wornand dulled. At least some level of rust to the edges. Lots of scratching andrelated surface wear. Crudely cut corners and edges. The top edge on front has asmall X scratched. The back has some etchings that are shown in the last photo.The tintype is bent up – there are bends, waviness, rippling and pressuremarks. I think it is an interesting tintype, but there are clearlymany problems, so please help me out by closely reviewing the provided pics tobest judge what you are bidding on.I have more photos listed this week from the samecollection.
