very cool, cast iron Thompson sprinkler nozzle head / oozing with vintage industrial appeal / terrific features including rabbit ear design & a fun, orange-copper interior face / made mid-century by the Thompson Mfg Co in Los Angeles, CA (which is also embossed on the back side) / front side is embossed around the face indicating the sprinkler head has a 25 foot diameter range with medium water pressure / this little beauty is heavy, chunky & funky!
nozzle measures 3 1/2..." tall x 4" wide / it is in excellent vintage condition with only some of the embossing being a little worn / there is a mark in the cast iron on the front face rim on the bottom right where it is not completely round on the edge but I believe this is original to the manufacturing process / the orange face still pops with color / I imagine it still works with only changing out the washer but it has not been tested / stands firmly upright & is marvelous as a display piece
