This is an awesome antique solid copper barn door, front door, or gate pull/handle. It weighs just over 1/2 a pound, so it’s got a little bit of weight to it. I’m guessing it is approximately 90-120 years old, but that is simply a best guess based on patina and wear. It could be older, but I doubt it’s much newer than that in my experience with such things. It certainly seems hand made, and it has a very neat design to it that looks like a crown on the top and bottom, and a 6 poi...nt star in the middle. As far as barn door handles go, it seems like a good bit of work went into making this.I hesitate to mention this, because it seems so inconsequential, but there is the beginnings of a stress crack on the inside middle of the handle. I have tried with all my strength to bend it, and it doesn’t budge, so I would label it purely cosmetic. It would take another hundred years before this thing breaks. Please see pictures.It does also have a barely noticeable, and very slight curvature to the left. I’m guessing it was on a sliding barn door that pulled from right to left, and over many years developed a slight curvature. You really have to look at it to notice. Again... See pictures, but you probably won’t notice.All in all, it is a solid and beautiful piece. I tend to over analyze the items that I post for flaws, because I want people to know exactly what they are getting. It is to my detriment, because I think this piece is solid as a rock, and will outlive the grandchildren of anybody that buys it! You will not be disappointed!
