Here is a great set of 3 different ORIGINAL items from the 1948 CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR in SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA. The 1948 California State Fair was the CENTENNIAL fair for the state. This set consists of the following items: 1) The OFFICIAL 1948 California State Fair SOUVENIR PROGRAM. The program is dated (1948), is 36 pages in length, is oversized and contains photos, information, schedules of events and much more. It also features a first page letter and photo from then-governor... (and future SUPREME COURT justice) EARL WARREN. The program is in very nice condition, with bumping to the edges and corners and some light creasing at the spine. The program is mark and tear free, with clean pages. 2) The OFFICIAL tri-fold PICTURE MAP of the STATE FAIR GROUNDS brochure. The brochure is dated, opens up to show a map of the fairgrounds, has a key to the places on the map and an old CHEVRON ad on the back. The brochure is in nice condition, with some bumping to the edges and corners and a spot on the left side of the map that appears to be a spot where a staple was removed. There are no tears to the folds. 3) A page taken from the SEPTEMBER 1, 1948 SACRMENTO BEE newspaper that shows the map of the California State Fair and location of events.
