A wonderful antique , early to mid 19th century valance dating c 1820-1850. This lovely textile is a valance fragment that uses a toile backing c 1820 and the front red fabric is a later c 1850. This textile is machine quilted and was once used as part of a bed set. There is a cotton batting between the layers ~*~ A lovely little textile! ~~ ( FF 2547) MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approx. 29 inches by 14.5 inches deep on the side edges.
CONDITION : This ...textile is in as found, unwashed condition with light storage dust. There are some small tears and holes and some pale storage marks ( please use the zoom feature on the photographs to view the condition closely ) not without signs of time and use generally inherent with this wonderful antiques.
