Antique medicine tin - F. H. Pfunder , F. H . PFUNDER INC ., MINNEAPOLIS , MINN. Very bottom tin that is the front lid . A. C. CO. 70. A - 0 . HH. The tin is medium size rounded edges narrow but good thickness , multi - colored powder blue center front center lid . With sky blue like stars on the back tray & edges, with a sun , or planet like element top center Co. seal or logo... & rain drops ? the condition is good normal wear , scratches , not to discolored scratched edges on the opening lid edges to the lid & back are not worn do have scratches not gauging , the inside is gold looking upper lid , & tray does have dents , dings , dry feel not greasy . Does have small pock mark like spots . Scratched maybe some rust at the opening front small area . - Overview brief, Obit . Pfunder Fred . H . [ Born 1863 - 1931 ] Dr. Fred H. Pfounder a former druggist in Greenwood , Clark County Minnesota at Rochester , Minn. July , 16 1931 , was in hospital for some time will not be graphic . Worked for various drug store throughout his long career , tried developing formula for stomach disorders , over time sold his interest in his formula for around a million $'s at that time . Survived by his wife , also a son also a doctor . Dr. Malcom Pfunder & 5 # grand-kids , 2 # daughters preceded him in passing . The date of the founding of his formula was not given ? estimate around the 1920's ? the [1863 date would make him A American Civil War Baby , ] Source Greenwood Gleaner - 7- 23 - 1931 . These tins are all from my late Grandfathers estate. My Grandfather collected these marketing tins for more than sixty years. He collected Aspirin Tins, Fuse Tins, Fishing Tins, Prophylactic Tins, and a whole lot more. We have more than 50 boxes of tins that we will be selling individually on ebay. We do our best to be as accurate as we can in our descriptions. The item portrayed in the picture is the one you will receive.
We do not work weekends. Our shipping center is not even open on Saturdays. I will do my best to answer questions through my phone during the weekend when I find free time, but the app will not let me send invoices with combined shipping. All of those transactions, plus shipping takes place during the work week, Monday - Friday.
SHIPPING: Please note our shipping charge. We live 23 miles away from our shipping center (Not a Post Office). We do NOT have USPS come to our location. We must drive 23 miles each way to get the items to a shipping center that charges for postage with tracking, packaging fees for boxes, padded shippers, bubble wrap, and their time. We apologize to anyone who does not like the cost but this is what we are charged and we must charge you the same. If you bid, expect that shipping cost. If you bid and win and chose not to pay, ebay will be notified.
We WILL combine shipping by adding $0.50 cents per tin to each additional tin (up to $10 or one pound depending on weight). If the weight is going to exceed a pound with packaging, it may be more economical to ship via FedEx Ground but the price will increase. On average, we've shipped about 20 tins for the $10 rate, but we just shipped nearly 30 tins and due to the weight, the cost for shipping was $20. We DO encourage you to let us know if you are bidding on multiple items. We try very hard to work with the buyer and want each transaction to be as seamless as possible.
