RARE 1836 DYOTTVILLE $10 BANK NOTE SIGNED T W DYOTT. Here is a paper scrip issued by the MANUAL LABOR BANK . This is the bank started by Dr. Thomas W. Dyott owner of the Dyottville Glass Works. The bank was only open 1836 - 1839 . The note here was issued the first day of the banks start , Feb. 2, 1836 . The note fittingly has a scene of glassblowers at work. The right side has the portrait of Dyott and the left is Benjamin Franklin. The note is signed by Stephen Simpson and Dyott hims...elf. The bank is located at the corner of 2nd and Race , which is next door to his patent medicine shop. The scrips could be used at his company store for needed household supplies. They didn't call it Dyottville for nothing. What a sweet deal he had going. Calder could possibly be one of his glassblowers.  The piece is in exceptional condition for its age. This is an awesome go-with for any bottle collection. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
