Here's a great toy to add to your collection...This roly poly chicken is made of celluloid and was produced by The Viscoloid Company of Leominster, MA which made toys from 1914 to 1925. (Technically celluloid is actually pyroxylin, which is the material used by Viscoloid in the manufacture of its toys.) This toy dates around the 1920's, and it is in very good condition. There are no cracks, breaks, indentations, etc. There is a very slight deformation arou...nd the top of the base from age not from misuse or abuse. The colors remain bright and vivid. This is the female roly poly chicken, and she stands ~ 6 1/2" tall. She still wobbles and spins as originally intended. This toy comes straight from a long time local collection, and it is in great condition considering its age. You won't be disappointed with this one!Please review all pictures carefully as they are considered part of the item description.
