THE CLOCKThis is a beautiful French 8 day S.Marti Bell striking cathedral shape pierced bronze mantle clock dating to around 1880. As you can see the Clock is very pleasant to the eye with the finest of details and it is a stunning model and very impressive. The clock has stunning patterns and raised bronze designs and an draping peeked bronze center top piece with superb bronze pierced sections all over the case. It can even be used as a table clock if preferred as it is finished on ...the back nicely and sits on its 4 thick bronze feet. This truly is an incredible clock and the amount of detail to the whole of the case is phenomenal which would really stand out from the rest. Date: 1880 Height: 19 inches Width: 9 inches Depth: 5 inchesDIALWhite enamel porcelain dial with blue Roman numerals and pierced gilt hands. Thick bevelled glass front door. Slight blemish around the right winding hole.MOVEMENTFrench 8 day bell striking movement which strikes on the half and full hour counting the hours. The movement is fully working and has just undergone a full service keeping excellent Time and striking correctly. Movement signed by S.Marti. Coming with its winding key and pendulum.
