Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of danburite from Afghanistan!!! This specimen consists of a group of sharp, elongated crystals of light amber colored danburite crystals!!! The crystals exhibit glassy luster and gemmy clarity!!! There is a thin, surface coating on some of the crystals that is easily removed if so desired, ho...wever I chose to leave it the way Rock had it!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays terrifically in person!!! Although the label notes the locale as Nuristan, subsequent reseach has determined that it is most likely from Koksha Valley!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of the late, great Rock Currier and retains its original label and affixed catalog number as well!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
