To many of the Ebay saw "sharpeners".....
A correctly Jointed saw means the toothline is straight or slightly breasted ( convex) NOT concave!
Precision sharpened ??? apparently it means that the teeth of a saw are different sizes with varying sizes of flats left at the tooth tips !
Freshly sharpened ??? Does that mean just touching up the garbage in front of you? Go ahead and insert the above li...ne here as well.
I will finish with...To the the guys who bad mouth others for polishing or waxing their saws...comes from the same sellers that stage every color thats in a box of lucky charms "shining" on their saws!
Now to the saw at hand...

Please read below about the sharpening options i offer and a little about myself.
So you know, I do this professionally, not just to be able to sell saws on Ebay.
I have made my living using handsaws and hand tools my entire working life.
Been sharpening and restoring hand and backsaws for over 40 yrs.
I have a complete understanding of the 3 sharpening disciplines listed below and am able to apply them for your specific use.
I offer you a 14 day money back guarantee as described above.
Why purchase a saw with predetermined geometry that may or may not be suited for your use ?
I offer the following three different filing methods...All 3 are applicable to crosscut filings Of 13ppi or less. ( depending on plate thickness I do not sharpen 14 ppi and greater saws with sloped gullets )
Rip filings will be conventional.
Conventional filing....( machine filing )This style of filing is what is most seen today which replicates what can be accomplished by machine filers.
Pros..Very durablemost easily maintained by a non seasoned filer
Cons..because of limited gullet size, the range of material thickness being cut proficiently is narrowed.limited range of usable filing geometry.
Traditional filing..style that was practiced pre machine and what i was first taught. Typically utilizing more extreme rake and fleam angles.( if any one cares, most of my saws I have filed this way).Pros..typically sawing action is smoother.very broad range of usable tooth geometry.gives a filer the ability to adapt a saw for more specific tasks.depending on the filing, produces larger gullets to aid in waste removal. Can produce very nice cuts.Cons..the finer cutting edge may not last as long as say conventional filing.much harder for a non seasoned filer to keep the tooth geometry when touching up the toothline.
Sloped gullets.. (present day)At least in my opinion, these filings were derived from traditional filings that produced sloped gullets and conventional filing geometry.Traditional filings at times, gave the appearance of sloped gullets. these sloped gullets were the result of certain traditional filings, not the intent.Present day sloped gullets are produced with intent to give advantage to conventional filing geometry.
Pros..broader range of filing geometry.the larger gullets produced give the advantage to allow a saw to perform better in stock that is thicker than what your saws ppi is capable handling.
can produce very nice cuts.
Typicallya smoother sawing action than conventionally filed saws.
Cons..As with traditional filing, much harder to maintain a sharp toothline.elongated cutting edges need touching up more often than conventional or traditional filing.
