A Jug with a pewter lid, probably a Chocolate Pot in the 1908 Art Nouveau design 'Countess' by Royal Doulton. Measures 5.25" tall and 6" spout to handle. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Rare! ROYAL DOULTON 'Countess' ART NOUVEAU CHOCOLATE POT with PEWTER LID
Rare! ROYAL DOULTON 'Countess' ART NOUVEAU CHOCOLATE POT with PEWTER LID ... Click images to enlarge Description A large Jug with a pewter lid in the very popular 'Countess' pattern by Royal Doulton. Early 20th century. Rare. Probably a Chocolate Pot. Lovely twisted/plaited handle style. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks to the jug just light age related crazing in the glaze. The lid shows signs of wear and use but still fits and works well with the white knob lifting the lid. Please view all the photos as they form part of the listing description.The jug measures 5.5" tall and 6" spout to back of handle. Wider in shape than it appears in the photos which have slimmed it down!Backstamped with the Royal Doulton 'Countess' backstamp and the Registered Pattern No. 523784 dated for 1908. This piece dates from the early 20th century.
