Here we have a Vintage PENNSYLVANIA SAW CORP No. 80 Steel Spline 16" Miter Box Back Saw. The Pennsylvania Saw Co. was a Disston acquisition in approx. 1892 when it was located in Frackville, PA. I'm guessing that they became the Pennsylvania Saw Corp. when they moved to York, PA around 1938. A review of their catalog indicates that this is a No. 80 miter box saw manufactured with specially tempered 'Triple Test' high speed steel. The blade on this saw is in very g...ood condition with some typical light corrosion marks here and there but it has no chipped or broken teeth (see pics). The blade is nice and straight with no kinks. It is nice and sharp. Theclosed, Beech wood handle is tight on the blade and is held with three nickel plated steel saw nuts. The Large Medallion nut is stamped with the Manufacturers info. The handleis in very good used condition with no cracks. The horns are full length. The handle finish isthe original 'used patina' and is very clean. There is no etching on the blade. Thissaw was advertised as being an 11 tpi model. Overall saw length is 21". There are no owner's marks.
