Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:30513326 | Modified Item: No |
City/Region: Gettysburg | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
For 90-minutes Confederate Artillery unleashed what was described as "Thunder from Hell" upon Union Defenses dug in on Cemetery Ridge.
This is an "Extremely Rare Find" and was discovered in the Seminary Ridge area of Gettysburg i...n the late 1920's and has been in my Private Collection for over 30-years.
These "S" Hooks (both Union & Confederate) were made to hold a heavy 2 Gallon (and sometimes larger) wooden bucket of Water.
This "S' Hook has (NEVER) been cleaned and still has what I call (The Sacred Soil of Gettysburg) remaining on it.
This "S" Hook measures 2 3/4" Long and 1" Wide and is "Very Heavy Solid Brass".
I've been an avid Civil War "Buff" and Collector most of my life (I'll be 70 this October) and all my relics are "Genuine". I have lived my Professional, Personal, and Spiritual heart and life on 3-Foundational Principles which are; "Honor" Integrity", & "Ethics".
Would love to see this and my other Gettysburg Relics that I'm putting up for Auction go to someone who will Enjoy & Treasure them as much as I have all these years.
I have seen only one of these for sale and the starting price was $65.00.
Am starting the Auction "Low" so all will have a fair opportunity.
Want to leave you with a saying the Lord laid on my heart last year the same of which my wife had printed and framed and which now hangs in our living room which says'
"TODAY'S THE FUTURE, SO LOVE OTHERS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW"
Good luck & Blessings to all.
