This is a beautiful antique hot chocolate/ demitasse cup and saucer with a gorgeous hand painted trailing rose and daisy bouquet scene with gold gilded handle and trim . There are those wonderful flowers on the sculpted ribbed shaped cup and even butterflies on the other side . The matching saucer is just as beautiful with matching flower bouquets..and gold gilt trim .there are also fancy patterned gold gilt along the rim of the cup on the inside and outside Also on the rim where the ...cup sits ..it’s very old and very art nouveau in style. Both pieces are marked on the bottom H&CL FRANCE haviland Limoges for FRANK HAVIIRANE 218 fifth avenue New York . The cup measures 2 7/8 inches tall and 2 inches across the top and the saucer measures 41;2 inches across. Both piece are estate fresh fro my recent trip to Vermont and came from a super old barn where they have been for ever ..very dusty but in wonderful condition with no chip, nicks or cracks ....all the gold gilt looks great... as does the painted flower and butterfly scenes ...its super nice ..there is a tiny spot on the rim that is missing a tiny fleck of gold gilt ..you have to really look for it...please refer to the pictures and thanks for looking.
