One RARE Antique GE General Electric Sewhandy Green Sewing Machine MA-1 Serial Number 1803. This is a very early General Electric Model A (same design and specs as Standard Sewhandy) made around 1930, one of the first group made without the normal GE throat plate. Well used, machine needs much love to bring back to life; does not sew as it is now. Please see photos. I can see it is missing power cord, lower bobbin and case, belt and upper thread spool pin, and belt. It does rotate... and needle goes up and down when hand wheel is turned by hand, but I seem to remember the motor doesn't work. Case has wear; again, please see photos and you decide condition. My eyes are too poor and hands too shaky to repair or sew anymore, so here is your chance to own a true collectible. I paid three times this years ago what I am asking, but this little machine needs to go too someone who can repair it too its former glory and better appreciate it. It is sold "AS-IS"; what you see or I have l written about is all there is in this offer. This machine was part of research for "Before the Featherweight - Sewhandy" book series by D. Philipp Kaiser.
