1890’S CAST IRON “SWAMP ANGEL” BLANK SHOOTING CANNON BY IVES & WILLIAM TOY CO.. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. One of the rarest of Ives cannons. Cannon is painted black with silver highlights over “SWAMP ANGEL” embossed on both sides of the cannon. Cannon was fired by pulling lanyard. Two front wheels and spring for firing mechanism are missing. Dimensions are approximately 7 1/2” long and approximately 3” high. Toy fired a 22 caliber blank cartridge.... Based on an artillery piece used by the union army used to shell Charlestown, S.C. During the Civil War.
