A Rare Scovill & Adams, NY, printing frame, 1890.
A wooden victorian print frame sprung top and bottom with a print number dial with intact pointer. One brace was originally cracked and has since snapped, it was a historical crack sadly. I will include snapped other half to be reattached etc should you wish, item still functions as is. The dial for number of prints is in beautiful condition and has an intac...t pointer, which ive not seen.
This is in a good usable size 10x8, 8x6 prints. Some historical staining from its 130 year usage from printing ink. Adds to its story i think.
Scovill & AdamsThe Scovill & Adams Co of New York was founded in 1889 joined with E. & H. T. Anthony around 1902 eventually forming the notable ANSCO corporation. Scovill is know for the manufacture of fine photographic equipment. It was the source of components and sometimes whole cameras for many well known American camera manufactures.
With indicator for the number of prints taken. Also sold under the N&G name in Britain.
