This listing is for a rare, early version of The Wizard Of Oz on VHS cassette as this is one of the first releases of film on home video.It was released in 1983 by MGM/UA. It is essentially the same release as the the MGM/CBS release from 1980, just with the CBS name being swapped out for the UA (United Artists) name.The tape is labeled as catalog # MV60001.The most unique part about this version of the film is that the Kansas scenes are in grayscale, as seen from the 1955 re-release o...f the film, instead of in the original Sepia Tone.Only one other other version of the film had the scenes in grayscale after this release, and that came out on VHS in 1985.
