Grain Sack Antique Folk Art Bag Textile Red & White Stripe For Cutting Projects
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:30614 |
~This textile I found cut in half! This was originally a very long duvet cover , however it's been cut in half! This textile dates from the early 1900's and was originally intended to be stuffed and used as a duvet or mattress cover. The top has buttons for closing however the bottom is open and has been cut! The top has the most lovely hand stitched button holes and GORGEOUS buttons! ~ So, this textile can be either used for many wonderful cutting projects ...or the bottom can be seamed closed and used as large pillow etc! This textile has been hand woven using both a deep red and a natural pale cotton. In order to avoid the red bleeding on to the pale off-white tone, it must be dry cleaned!! Very important as I have had a similar piece that bled and became pink and red when washed in warm water! ~*~ This is a lovely heavy weight fabric! ~*~ ~*~ ~ ~*~(FA 772 ) MEASUREMENTS: This lovely textile measures approximately 32 inches wide by 45 inches long ~ ( of course it has two sides as it's doubled! ~*~ CONDITION : This lovely textile is in as found, unwashed condition with light storage dust. There are some pale marks that may not fully wash including a long horizontal mark. Generally in beautiful, cut condition ~
