Vintage Photo Snapshot Boys Scouts Order of Arrow Calling Out Ceremony 1948 * Photo measures 3 1/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. * Due to the age and non acid free nature in which this photo was stored, there is a bit of a sepia tone throughout the photo. The image itself is not hindered.* Group of uniformed scouts watch as another scout, dressed as an Indian calls out Order of the Arrow nominees.* Large campfire remains are in the center. * Adults dressed as Indians... are in the background.* Pencil written description on the back of the photo reads, "Order of Arrow Calling Out. Aug. 1, 1948 flash #50".* This ceremony has not changed for decades and is one of the most involved from an execution standpoint.* The photo was taken in Michigan and is likely two boys from Boy Scout Troop 3 in Muskegon, MI.A great photo for any collection!
