Vintage Old Growth 1950 ' S Double Bit Axe Handle Never Cut NOS

Here is a beautiful survivor. This handle is from around the 1950's. It was back stock in a hardware store that closed during that time and later was demolished in the 1970's. I purchased the handle along with a few other things from an the family who demolished the hardware store in the 1970's. They have had it in their storage ever since.
Handle is likely hickory. Straight handle and straight grain. Stored correctly.
34 inches long. Over 30 rings of growth grain on ...the uncut shoulder face.
Over 20 rings on the foot.
3-1/4 across on top
A tad under 1-1/4 at widest part.
It was dusty and the only thing I did was apply a natural oil after wiping it down.
This is the real deal and I hope it accompanies a wonderful and stunning head.
