ITEM: An Antique Cast Bronze Post Office Box Door with an Indianapolis Lock that was used at Summit, South Dakota until the late 1970's. This door was purchased with other post office boxes that appear to have been shipped from Redfield, South Dakota to Summit, South Dakota around 1915. The door is made of cast bronze, the lock is made of steel. At the back of the pigeon hole for this door was a brass tag indicating this box belonged to George LaBarr. CONDITION: This post office box door is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, stains, rust or repairs. The latching mechanism works fine as does the latch opening lever.
