Very much a used rubber face monkey doll, has a very charming well-loved look. From an estate in South Mississippi. It appears to me that someone salvaged a rubber face monkey doll and attached it's head and arms to an old doll. The doll part seems older than the rubber faced monkey part. There are a few small spots where you can see the stuffing. The doll dress has a very tiny Made in Japan sticker on the back, though I don't know if the sticker is origin...al to the dress.
This is a lovely old item, from a depressed area in Mississippi, and was likely a "make-do" child's well-loved toy. The arms, legs and head have hand-stitching that attaches them to the body.
