RARE ORIGINAL YALE & TOWNE # 3 1/2 PADLOCK KEY BLANK FOR ANTIQUE YALE PADLOCKS NOS
NOS, Antique New Old Stock! Rare original Yale and Towne # 3 1/2 key blank. Fits Yale locks 805F and others. I believe they also fit some antique vehicles. Made in the USA by the Yale & Towne MFG Co., established in 1868. Key way measures: 1.10mm thick, 1/4" wide and 1 1/16" long. Overall: 2" long, bow 7/8"wide. These old key blanks were made around the late 1800's maybe early 1900. They h...ave been in storage for decades and may have some minor blemishes, nothing major.
Original Yale & Towne, not reproduction, copies, replicas, or "style of". These are the real deal!
They were part of an enormous antique locksmith collection with items dating back to the 1800's.
These gorgeous original key blanks are made out of nickel-silver also called German silver. Nickel silver is stronger and more expensive than brass. And, it doesn't tarnish as much as brass. Back then manufacturers chose nickel-silver over brass for higher quality items like these Yale key blanks.
