This exquisite Antique Foley's Gold Dip Pen NYC is a wonderful addition to your Dip Pen collection. The taper is in fantastic condition for its antique age, no cracks or chips, it is straight and tight to the Gold taper shaft. The nib is a John Foley No. 2 and is straight, ready to write. I am not a dip pen user but did check the pen and it does hold ink and does write well. If you are a calligrapher or a person of penmanship techniques you could make this pen sing. The pen comes in it...s original box that soes little damage on the outside. The latches are intact and catch well. There is writing on the inside of the lid but it is a small amount.
