FULL DESCRIPTION OF ITEM FOR SALE: Collector’s Alert! Up for offer this week is a hard to find candlestick made by Fostoria in their “American” Pattern or also know as line 2056 – This candlestick is known as the Small Cone Foot Candlestick or for the serious collector, item # 283 – The candlestick is part of the elusive small cube collection which was in fact made in England. This piece is rare, and I believe was only manufactured for a short time in 1925 and that was it! There cannot be many of these floating around anymore! This candlestick is free of damage – and is in fact one of the few pieces from this vast collection of over 400 different pieces that actually has four (4) seams in its construction and not the three (3) that is normally found in most other piece from line 2056. The only thing to note is that when this candlestick was being made, the worker missed an area while the item was being fire polished - - - So there is a spot, towards the top of the “cone” that is a bit dull or not as shiny as the rest of the piece. This is not damage per say and this lack of "consistency" was well documented with some of these earlier pieces, especially those pieces made in England in the 1920’s. The candlestick is 7 & 3/8 inches tall - - -the cone base is 4.0 inches wide and the candlestick weights about about 1 Lbs. This is being offered at a very low starting price so all collectors can have the chance to pick up this rare piece for their own collection.
