This oversized 1000 franc note or artifact, in extra fine condition, was printed in 1973. Photos show the actual uncirculated item. 5 neat creases from careful storage. Stored in a box, out of light. No fading, no discoloration, no wrinkles, no smudges, no stamps. Perfect condition. Exceptional care given this rare artifact.
The back of the note is blank, indicating it may have been a proof print. Material seems to be fine linen..., quite soft. Experts I have spoken to in Switzerland and the U.S., are somewhat doubtful it is legal tender. The main reasons for doubting this is its size---17 3/4" x 9, " and the fact its back is blank.
I welcome any observations as to what it is.
