I have up for auction a record (One Sided 10" 78) on the black and gold MONARCH RECORD label, very early 1900s; date of January 1, 1904 on back side! It is #2720 by Pryor's Orchestra and selection is "A Deed of the Pen". The record has a couple of flaws early on; two slight tight cracks with very little affect on play; and also, worn grooves, first few rotations thus noticeable surface noise at beginning. Considerably quieter thereafter; plays fa...irly well after the first 15 seconds or so.
