This is a rare vintage 1985 Sony EV-C8u Video8 VCR in very poor shape - sold as is. The unit powers on, as shown in the first listing photo, but the cassette door is missing on the top, and there are broken/missing pieces in the cassette loading mechanism that make it physically impossible to insert a tape. I can not insert a cassette inside the unit. I believe there are some pieces rattling around inside the unit. There is also a broken piece of plastic on the top. I have the piece an...d will send it with the unit. I assume it can be guled back together and fixed.An inspection of the internal circuitry shows that the electronics inside appear to be OK, such as the head drum and PCBs, so this unit is sold FOR PARTS to repair another 8mm VCR or camcorder - that is the only recommended use of this unit, due to missing pieces. I need to get rid of this unit, so offers are allowed. Send me your best offer and I will allow it.
