Vintage and early set of 24 red and black checkers. I believe these are made of a clay composite material but it was also suggested they might be compressed sawdust and glue. I'm really not sure?They are definitely NOT bakelite. They are 1 1/4" in diameter. One has a large chip out of the rim (see picture) and some of the others have rough edges/tiny chips.
